Vendor Agreement & Policy – Desi Crunch
This Vendor Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Desi Crunch (“Platform”) and the Vendor (“Seller”). By registering and selling on Desi Crunch, you agree to the following terms:
1. Vendor Registration
Vendors must provide accurate and complete information during registration. Desi Crunch reserves the right to approve or reject any vendor application and may request verification documents at any time.
2. Product Listing
Vendors are responsible for listing only authentic, legal, and safe food products. All listings must include accurate details such as ingredients, quantity, pricing, and shelf life. Misleading or false information may result in removal or suspension.
3. Quality & Hygiene Standards
All food products must be prepared, stored, and handled in hygienic conditions. Vendors must ensure that products are safe for consumption and not expired or contaminated.
4. Packaging Requirements
Vendors must ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during delivery. Packaging should be leak-proof, airtight where required, and clearly labeled with product details such as ingredients and expiry date.
5. Order Processing & Fulfillment
Vendors must process and dispatch orders within the specified time. Delays should be communicated in advance. Failure to fulfill orders may impact vendor performance and account status.
6. Shipping & Delivery
Vendors are responsible for preparing products for shipment. Delivery may be handled through third-party logistics partners. Timely dispatch is mandatory to ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Pricing & Payments
Vendors can set their own pricing. Desi Crunch charges a commission on each successful order. Payments to vendors will be processed after order completion, subject to deductions such as commissions, refunds, or penalties.
8. Returns, Refunds & Disputes
Due to the nature of food products, returns are generally not accepted. However, refunds may be issued in cases of damaged, incorrect, or poor-quality products. Vendors must cooperate in resolving disputes. Final decisions rest with Desi Crunch.
9. Prohibited Products
Vendors must not sell:
- Expired or unsafe food
- Illegal or restricted items
- Products violating food safety regulations
10. Food License (FSSAI) – Mandatory
All vendors must comply with Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) regulations.
Vendors must:
- Have a valid FSSAI Registration or License
- Provide their FSSAI number when required
- Display the license number on packaging where applicable
Non-compliance may result in listing removal or account suspension. Vendors are solely responsible for legal compliance.
11. Compliance with Laws
Vendors must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including mandatory food safety and licensing requirements in India.
12. Account Suspension & Termination
Desi Crunch reserves the right to suspend or terminate vendor accounts for policy violations, poor service, or fraudulent activity.
13. Intellectual Property
Vendors must use only original or authorized content. Unauthorized use of copyrighted images or brand names is prohibited.
14. Limitation of Liability
Desi Crunch acts as a marketplace platform and is not directly responsible for product quality or vendor operations. However, we aim to maintain high standards across the platform.
15. Modifications to Agreement
Desi Crunch may update this agreement at any time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
16. Acceptance of Terms
By registering as a vendor, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Vendor Agreement.
